THE ART YOU DONT SEE
THE LIVERPOOL ART COLLECTIVE
FOOD NOT BOMBS
This Exhibition was created by the Liverpool Art Collective set in the corner stone gallery in LIverpool Art Gallery. This Exhibit was in collaboration with the Food Not Bombs is a indipendent collective that distrubutes free vegan and vegetarian food. The food is typically sourced by donations or from salverging and then served in public spaces or at activist gatherings. It is often consitered an anarchist or anarchist-inspired group as well as a form of franchise activism.
The exbition THE ART YOU DONT SEE transformed the gallery into a collaboration with thirteen artists including myself. My fine art sculptures—raw, unflinching forms cast in plaster and faric and photography—confront the viewer with corporeal fragments and stitched-together anatomies that insist on being seen. The works occupy a liminal space between vulnerability and defiance: tender surfaces marred by seams, swelling shapes that suggest both protection and constraint, and gestures that make private struggle public.
